Therapy is the process by which we focus on helping patients learn more constructive and healthier ways of dealing with the problems in their lives. It also provides a supportive environment to those going through a difficult time or period of stress. Therapy can address a variety of functional difficulties, including emotional instability, problematic behavior, relational challenges, and communication difficulties, for example. Our clinicians employ an array of interventions in working with patients to achieve their individualized therapeutic goals. Therapy is tailored to fit the unique needs of each individual and family with serve.
Therapy begins with a clinical interview conducted primarily with the parent(s)/legal guardian(s) of the child patient, or the patient(s) him/herself. Following this initial meeting, your clinician will provide recommendations regarding appropriate session frequency, therapy format(s), and initial treatment goals. You and/or your child are encouraged to assist in the development of treatment goals. JCCTA offers: Individual Therapy Play Therapy Family Therapy Parenting Training Couple's Therapy Teletherapy
