Dr. Jones has acquired many skills as a result of her work history, multitude of clinical experiences, and supervisory role with newly licensed psychologists, post-doctoral fellows, doctoral and professional counselor interns, as well as therapists with various licensures. She has achieved in excess of 18 years' experience providing therapy and assessment services to children, teens, and adults in private practice settings. Dr. Jones was employed for an agency contracting in long-term care facilities for five years, where she spent a great deal of time working with the chronically mentally ill. She completed an internship in clinical and forensic psychology at a juvenile detention center. As a practicum student, she conducted psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational evaluations in a children's hospital satellite mental health clinic, as well as individual, couple’s, family, and group therapies in a private practice. She participated in a practicum in an inpatient acute care hospital while obtaining her master's degree.
Dr. Jones tailors therapy to each individual, family, and parent she works with. She believes there is not one universal approach which will work with all patients. People are unique and seek help for different reasons. As such, she uses a variety of techniques. From teaching to listening, she employs a wide array of interventions aimed at providing whatever assistance is needed given an individual's unique set of experiences.
Whatever the needs of you, your child, and/or your family, Dr. Jones is here to help. She is open to suggestion and feedback about how she can best be of service.
